Highway Hospice came into being not just for those with a terminal illness or chronic disease, but also for their families and care givers.  So often terminally ill patients are discharged from hospital back into their homes and their families have neither the means to employ a specialised care giver, or the skills to do the job themselves.

31 Club were delighted to have been able to cover the costs of 10 graduates who successfully completed the Home Based Training Course. In turn these 10 graduates will share their knowledge with their co-workers, which creates a greater awareness and education in how to care for people in their last days.
